WOCL Founder, Judge Vallera Johnson
In 2002, ALJ Vallera Johnson initiated Women of Color in the Law luncheons to give law students and young lawyers an opportunity to network, socialize, and learn about the legal community, particularly issues experienced by women in the legal profession. Over the years, judges, attorneys, law firms, and the three law schools have joined in support of this event. The majority of the attendees are women judges, attorneys, and law students from local law schools.
