We need you more than ever, and now it’s easier than ever to help.
The 15th Annual San Diego County High School Mock Trial Competition is scheduled for January 26 and 28, 2021, and February 1, 3, 9, and 17, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to approximately 7:30 p.m. This year, the competition will be virtual with participants—including scorers like you—logging in from the comfort and convenience of their own homes or offices.
The 2021 Mock Trial Competition may well be as big as last year’s. To help ensure all participating students have the best possible experience, all schools will have the opportunity to compete in at least four trials. The top four schools will compete in a semi-final round and the two prevailing schools will compete in a championship round. The winner will represent San Diego County at the state competition in March 2021.
Approximately 200 attorneys will be needed during the competition to volunteer to spend a few hours scoring the mock trials.
The San Diego County High School Mock Trial Competition is a collaborative effort of the San Diego Superior Court, the San Diego County Bar Association, the United States District Court, the Constitutional Rights Foundation, and other organizations. It provides an excellent opportunity to educate current and future stakeholders about the importance of the justice system in our community.
